This entry was originally published at Viral Happiness

During a recent weekend trip to New Orleans, we watched break dancers on Bourbon Street. They were great - exceptionally talented. But, it was more than just their physical talent; they also had a great presentation, a great connection with their audience, and evident passion for their profession. It became immediately apparent that these guys had been together for a long, long time - they were exceptionally polished.

Last week, I was watching a TV competition called America’s Got Talent, and there were the same guys I had seen in New Orleans. They told a very moving Hurricane Katrina story. Their personalities were evident. They had won over the audience and the judges before they performed. And then they performed exceptionally well.

So what does this have to do with Viral Happiness? Just this. Success is a necessary aspect of happiness, and success leaves clues. These guys were polished. These guys were passionate. These guys had put in lots of practice. And these guys told a great story. You can watch their performance below.

Do you want to manifest satisfaction and success in your life’s work? Take a cue from these break dancers. Be passionate. Practice. Let your personality shine through. Tell a great story. And do what you love. That’s the real key. Do you currently love what you do everyday? You’ll never be passionate about your life’s work until you do. How do you discover what your passion might be? Feel free to suggest your favorite ways in a comment below, and we’ll discuss those and other great methods in a subsequent post.

I found this clip of Will Smith on youtube talking about taking a positive approach and manifesting success. The audio is not great, but the philosophy is dynamic. What makes Will a success? Just press play to find out.

This entry was originally published at Viral Happiness

I began my online journey two years ago, but I’ve been preaching my happiness gospel all of my adult life. And like most people, my ideas have developed and formed over time. I’m influenced by books, teachers, experiences, and simple conversations.

I have been enlightened by the ‘chance’ reading of a new blog post or by stopping to watch a particular program as I’m channel-surfing. There are lessons everywhere, if we just take the time to look.

Recently, I was reading Dr. Joseph Murphy’s, ‘The Power of Your Subconscious Mind,’ and something that I read sent me to look up a passage or two in the Bible about the power of belief. Was Christ sincere when he said that we can move mountains with our belief? I certainly think so. I know we tend to grossly underestimate what we are capable of doing.

We can do miracles, but we don’t really believe that we can do miracles. We can change our lives with the power of thought and belief, but, so often, we never make the change we say we want. So what’s stopping us?

We are. We stop ourselves, time after time.

We doubt; we make choices that are incongruent with our stated goals; we quit trying.

Please understand this fact: You are the only person who is ultimately in charge of you. No guru or path or teaching or tradition can ‘magic’ you into a different person unless YOU make the decision to be that different person.

Do you want to change something in your life? Then change it. You are not locked into any pattern with out your permission. No one controls you but you. Every decision you make is just that…a decision that YOU make, not someone else.

What do you want to do? Answer that question, and then go do it.

What do you want to be? Figure that out, and then go be it.

And, if you feel like something is stopping you, that’s fear. Fear is a charlatan and a thief. Fear is that voice in your head that tells you, “Don’t try, you may fail, and then people will laugh at you.” Or “Don’t speak up, someone may disagree with you and not like you.” Don’t ever let others opinions keep you from doing what is best for you.

You are not here to please others. You are here to discover just how wonderful you are, and to discover how you can best serve others and develop your passion. If you are truly ‘fearfully and wonderfully made,’ which you most certainly are, it is time for you to begin living like it.

And that’s where my passion comes in…that’s my service…to give you tools to facilitate change…to help you release the stuff that’s holding you back…to help you find your own happy way.

Hopefully, you find some inspiration and tools in these blog posts; that’s my goal. But, if you’d like a more indepth, interactive process, I am continuing to develop a plan for a webinar, and I would really like to hear your opinions. What subjects should it cover? Who would you like to see as a special guest? Please share your thoughts.

I’m also developing a plan for personal coaching though email and by telephone. If you have any suggestions or ideas about these services, I’d love to hear them.

If you’re willing to share your thoughts, I will readily see them if you comment on this blog. If you’d rather not share in this public forum, please feel free to email me.

But first, just believe. Believe that there is a better life than the one you are living now. Believe that your possibilities are deeper and broader than you can possibly imagine. Believe, and watch your own personal miracles begin to unfold.

You really can move mountains.

I’ve made some great connections through twitter.com (if you haven’t joined twitter, do it now - you’ll be glad you did). One of my most interesting connections has been with Mr 2020.

That’s his legal name - 2020. He’s serious about vision and focus…so serious that he felt compelled to change his name. You can read that story at exhostage.com, but I’m writing today to send you to another one of his sites, nlplive.com.

He’s giving away a wonderful audio - you don’t even have to sign-up for a list. It’s about the difference between networking and building relationships, and I give it two thumbs way up. Go and listen. You’ll be glad you did.

This entry was originally published at Viral Happiness

One of my regular readers emailed me yesterday. She was concerned because I haven’t blogged since April 19th. I should have blogged two or three times since the 19th, and she was worried that I might be sick or in some kind of distress.

My only distress is that I’ve been really busy. But I should NEVER be too busy to blog, because (thankfully) lots of people visit my blog regularly, and, as we say here in South, that just tickles me to death. I sure am glad that I was missed, and I appreciate Cheryl for checking on me.

I also received another special email recently from one of my good internet friends, Todd Silva. Todd is one of those guys who truly has a golden heart. I depend on him for inspiration and advice, and Todd’s emails always brighten my day. But this one was really special to me.

Todd has a copy of Mastering Your Power of Release, and he emailed about how he had used it in a specific situation. I have Todd’s permission to share his email with you. You may read it below.

—————————————–

Hi Buz,

May I share with you a little story bout human-ness?

Victoria and I were doing some work around the house earlier today. She was a little crabby about something, and I was a little edgy in response. It escalated, in what I now suspect might have been more my part than hers. It would have been a typical response for me to hang on to this for hours and give her the long silent treatment.

Instead, this time, I chose to pull myself up and out of it. I apologized to Victoria, and quickly engaged in conversation with her again. The reason I chose to do this was because of your Power Of Release. I thought back on many of the things you had said in your books, and realized it was time for me to let this one go. (The need to be right, that is… the need to punish her with my silly, but icy silence).

Thank you Buz, for your inspiration to release and let go when holding on just wasn’t going to serve either of us!!

Blessings to you,

Todd

—————————————-

It does my heart good to hear how someone uses my methods to release those things that hold them back and interfere with their best life. So bless you, Todd, and bless you, Cheryl for checking on me. I’m glad to have good friends like both of you.

This entry was originally published at Viral Happiness

One of the most important steps when using the Law of Attraction is being able to let go of the thing that you want to acquire. In his book, ‘The Attractor Factor,’ Joe Vitale presents this lesson as the fifth step in the 5 steps he teaches to manifest the Law of Attraction. You can call it detachment. You can call it trust. You just have to learn to let go.

There have been times that I’ve found this step to be incredibly difficult to grasp. How can you be wanting something and letting it go at the same time? I found a simple explanation to this dilemma in “The Power of Forgetting,” a chapter by Colin Joss in my ebook, ‘Masters of Release.”

Colin is primarily a marketer, but he is a thinking person’s marketer. His first ebook is about the Law of Attraction, and he has been interviewed as an expert on this subject. So when he told me that the chapter he was writing for my book was about gaining by forgetting, well to say that I was intrigued is an understatement. I can attest to the fact that his chapter is a really good fit in ‘Mastering Your Power of Release‘ and an integral part of learning what it means to master the art of letting go.

And the chapter is pure Colin - succinct, insightful, and brilliant. Before you experience this chapter, you may consider “forgetting” to be a problem. But Colin disagrees with that, and he uses his own experience to show you exactly how forgetting may be the key to getting what you really want.

This entry was originally published at Viral Happiness

Who are you holding captive in your heart today?

There’s someone - someone who you just can’t bring yourself to forgive. And I’m sure you have a reason, something that makes perfect sense to you - or, at least, something that made sense to you at one time.

Because most grudges start out with hurt and then become habit. And if you’ll just look past the habit, you’ll be able to see that holding grudges and harboring hurt don’t do us one bit of good.

I devote a chapter to “Releasing Relationships” in ‘The Power of Release,” one of the ebooks in ‘Mastering Your Power of Release.’ It’s a “release” that, once mastered, can vault you forward in your well-being and in your ability to pursue excellence and abundance, because you carry these captive people around like un-needed baggage; and that added emotional weight is holding you back.

Once you learn to “let go” of these people held captive in your heart, you’ll realize that, when you release them, you free yourself.

I had noticed the tendency before, but, until Amanda Goldston wrote about it in my ebook, Masters of Release, I had never considered how one could become clear of problems that seem to affect generations of the same family.

You could almost call these problems “family curses,” whether they are issues with health or happiness or abundance. It seems so difficult to release those family proclivities. We even say things like, “Yep, I’ve got a bad temper, just like my dad.” Or we say, “Heart problems run through my family for generations, so I’m sure I’ll have them, too.”

Amanda has opened my eyes to the possibilities of clearing these generational tendencies with her approach, which she spells out fully in her chapter, ‘Like Father, Like Son.’

I became aware of Amanda through one of her marvelous relaxation audios. Her mellifluous, English-accented voice has led me into a state of deep relaxation on several occasions, and her approach of using relaxation and guided imagery to help generate answers to difficult situations is nothing short of amazing.

Through our online association, she has become my friend, much like many of the authors represented in ‘Masters of Release,’ so, when I asked her for a chapter about ‘release,’ I offered no further instructions. I simply trusted her to deliver useful, quality information. And that is exactly what she did.

Consider your own life. Are there negative patterns that you see in your life that mirror those of your ancestors?

Or, as Amanda says it in her chapter, “If you are experiencing lack of abundance, health, happiness, or any other good thing in your life, you could be following the same patterns and beliefs as your parents and grandparents did; and you are probably teaching the same beliefs to your children.”

And then Amanda guides you through a process of healing, and not just healing for you, but healing for generations that came before and those that will come after. You just have to read it to understand. It’s good stuff.

But then, there’s lots of good stuff in my new program, ‘Mastering Your Power of Release.’ The ebook that has Amanda’s chapter, ‘Masters of Release,’ also contains chapters from nine other Release Masters. And the other ebook in the package, ‘The Power of Release,’ is filled with my release methods.

Both ebooks, along with the audios and interviews in the package, are designed to enable you to get clear from the gunk that holds you back. You need to learn to just let go of the encumbrances. Your life will change, once you learn to master your Power of Release.

This entry was originally published at Viral Happiness

One of my favorite chapters in my ebook, ‘The Power of Release,’ is entitled ‘Perfect Release.’ And considering the feedback I’ve gotten from this particular chapter, it’a a crowd favorite, too. Here’s just one reference to that chapter from Victoria Silva. Victoria is the creator of feminineliving.com, and she shared this with me:

“One chapter in particular rang so true for me - the chapter on Releasing Perfection. Now I can see with clarity how my need for perfection has kept me stuck in so many areas of my life…but NO MORE. I released my need to be perfect after reading this chapter, and I feel like a BIG trash bag has been lifted from my once heavy shoulders. This is a MUST READ for anyone wanting to move forward in their lives.”

I really appreciate Victoria’s response to this chapter, because it was just the response I was envisioning as I wrote it. Let me share a brief excerpt from the chapter below.

———————————————————–

You must release perfection.

If you find yourself always longing for your envisioned concept of perfection, you must release that concept before you can really begin to live.

Perfection is the enemy of good enough. Waiting for perfection - the perfect relationship, the perfect house, the perfect situation - is robbing you of joy and time and satisfaction.

Perfection is robbing you of your life.

Because, what is life, except how you spend your minutes, hours, and days? And, if you are spending an inordinate amount of that time lamenting that your life isn’t perfect or that you aren’t perfect, you are wasting a life that, while not perfect, could very well be spectacular.

So, forget “perfection” - instead, celebrate “spectacular.”

———————————————————–

That unattainable concept of perfection gives us a warped sense of how our lives should be. We hold ourselves to a standard that is unachievable - a standard that keeps us frustrated and depressed. And it doesn’t just affect the way we feel, it affects what we accomplish. And it also affects our relationships, as we hold people to a standard that they can never live up to.

It’s all in the ‘Perfect Release’ chapter in ‘The Power of Release.’

In a few days, I’ll share another bit of information from my amazing compilation ebook, ‘Masters of Release.’ I haven’t decided which of the 10 Release Masters will be featured next (I’ve already covered Pat O’Bryan’s chapter in a previous post), but whatever I share from that book is guaranteed to be choice, life enhancing material. Each time I read it, I learn something new - something that enhances my ability to release the stuff that gets in the way of my progress.

So, be on the lookout for that post, and, if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to email me - buz@viralhappiness.com .
